IPC Gift Drive for Kirkhaven

IPC Deacons are organizing a donation drive to support Kirkhaven, a non-profit senior living community located on Alexander Street in Rochester, NY.  Kirkhaven offers person-centered care to many low-income seniors and others in need of rehabilitation or skilled nursing care. Below is a message from Kirkhaven.

At Kirkhaven, we try to brighten the season for all our residents by maintaining the traditions of the season, including celebrations and exchanging gifts. This is especially meaningful for those who are unable to celebrate with family members. But we need your help. Donations of gifts from the community remind our residents that they are cared for and not alone.

Here is a sampling of the items our seniors would most enjoy. Thank you for sharing your blessings with our seniors during the most wonderful time of the year.

¨ Adult coloring books w/ colored pencils
¨ Crossword, Word Search Puzzle books (large print)
¨ Large print books & picture books
¨ 300 Piece puzzles with large pieces
¨ Candy or cookies in tins – we cannot accept homemade food items
¨ 2023 Wall calendars (large)
¨ Socks & slippers (men’s and women’s)
¨ Scarves
¨ Toiletries – perfume, aftershave, hand lotion, liquid body wash, bath powder, shampoo
¨ Stationary/stamps
¨ Hats, gloves, mittens, and mufflers
¨ Hand-held games
¨ Small stuffed animals
¨ Quilts, throws, blankets

Please place your unwrapped gifts in the collection box located in the front of the sanctuary no later than Sunday, December 11^th, 2022.
